for more information on our designs. Here are some features that we feel make the Micro Hoe unique among ALL small backhoes. * 170 degrees boom (slew) rotation. one of the most important specs of any Backhoe design is how far you can swing the boom to the side. this will allow you to pile material far enough away from your digging area.
* Hydraulic stabilizers. for adapting to uneven terrain and providing a stable platform for digging, independant hydraulic stabilizers are a "must have" for any backhoe project. our stabilizers spread out to 7'-6", can easily lift the tractor off the ground and retract to a fully verticle position.
* boom curls up tight for transport. we've all seen the home built backhoes that hang waaaay off the back of the tractor because the boom will not retract far enough. this places a lot of stress on the frame of the tractor and makes it difficult to maneuver in tight places. when retracted, our design measures just 31" from the rear of the tractor and 74" tall including 7" of ground clearance.
* proportioned hydraulics. this is a feature found on all large commercial Backhoes that allows you to move more than one hydraulic cylinder at the same time. unfortunately, most home built Backhoe designs do not have this, requiring you to move-one-hydraulic-cylinder-at-a-time which is very slow and frustrating for the operator. with our proportioned hydraulics you will be able to pull the crowd arm toward you while articulating the bucket, lift the boom while swinging over to dump, extend the crowd arm while dumping the bucket, etc. this makes operating the Micro Hoe a real pleasure. some other important numbers: * weight 350 LBS. * horizontal reach 8' * verticle reach 7' * digging depth 5' - 6" * bucket width 10" |
